Partners and Friends

Our partners and friends have worked with us to engage higher education in climate advocacy. Plus, they have tons of resources for students, educators and administrators.

Citizens’ Climate Lobby

Our parent organization, Citizens' Climate Lobby (CCL), is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national policies to address climate change. In order to generate the political will necessary for passage of its Carbon Fee and Dividend proposal, the organization trains and supports volunteers to build relationships with elected officials, the media and their local community. CCL directly supports Citizens’ Climate Higher Education to work on its behalf in higher education.

Citizens’ Climate Youth

Citizens’ Climate Youth is the youth arm of Citizens’ Climate Lobby. Their mission is to engage youths younger than 18 in advocacy for climate legislation.

Schools for Climate Action

Schools for Climate Action is another project of Citizens’ Climate Lobby. They advocate for elected officials to combat the climate crisis in order to protect current and future generations. They help school boards, student councils, school environmental clubs, PTAs, teacher unions, and school support organizations to pass resolutions that do three things: drive a paradigm shift so people recognize climate change as a generational justice and equity issue; clearly articulate the political will for all elected leaders, especially members of Congress, support or enact commonsense climate policies (such as carbon pricing, 100% clean energy policies, green infrastructure investments, and just transition plans); and celebrate and expand school district responses to climate change.
